I Did It!

How do you put in words the past few days? You can't. it's impossible to describe the euphoric state I was launched into when I heard, "and with the 11th pick the Buffalo Bills select Aaron Maybin, Defensive End from Penn State University!" Wow!! Praise God! My dream has been fulfilled and my prayers answered. All those years of practice, weight training, blood sweat and tears; all the sacrifices - it was all worth it! I was surrounded by over 400 family members, friends and well wishers. You can't imagine the enormous roar that erupted when they flashed my picture on the screen, just before the announcement. It's been three days and I still have not come down. This is beyond my wildest imaginations. And to be able to look into my mom and dad's faces with the knowledge that they will no longer have to struggle like they have in the past...that thought immediately brings tears to my eyes every time I think about it. It's still hard to believe. There's too much to say, I'll be back to tell you more in a little bit.
